Salon Realities are a critical aspect of our educational plan. We believe that the number one way to teach our students how to be successful in a salon is to simulate that environment throughout their time at the Academy.
Each team is led by an Owner (an Academy Instructor) and a Manager (an Academy student, elected by fellow students).
The Salon Reality allows students to…
• Set up their own salon, distribute work assignments, develop promotions, build a team environment and establish their own unique culture
• Gain work experience in managing people and working as a team
• Compete against other Academy salons just like in the real world; for most clients, most revenue, most requests, and retail sales
• Compete in special competitions and fashion shows
• Support and encourage one another in accomplishing their goals
• Provide immediate feedback to school leadership
• Track results and set goals
• Make school more meaningful and FUN
