As part of our commitment to providing the most progressive cosmetology education available, we provide students with the newest teaching tools in both theory and hands-on education, along with regular fashion and hair releases emerging from the East and West Coasts, and much more.
Our students receive the most advanced training in cutting, perming, coloring, nail technology, make-up application, and facial skincare. The Academy recognizes and develops an individual's potential, thus producing qualified hairdressers invested in the concept of hair fashion. Academic and practical programs are of the highest quality. Techniques and skills are instructed and taught to challenge students to meet and surpass the state-required level of cosmetology.
Here are some of the advanced courses we offer at the Academy of Hair Design that will put you at the very forefront of the hair and beauty profession.
Cosmetology Course (1500 clock hours)
- Flexible daytime schedule options
- Haircutting & styling (men and women)
- Razor cutting
- Clipper cutting
- Perming
- Coloring
- Make-up application
- Machine facials
- Manicures/pedicures
- Acrylic fiberglass nail application
- All state required sanitation, etc.
Admission Requirements - Applicants Must:
- Be at least 17 years of age upon enrollment
- Have a high school diploma/GED
- Sign an enrollment contract
- Sign a rules and policies statement
- Submit completed State of Missouri registration forms
- Submit 2 small bust photos (passport photos)
- Submit a copy of birth certificate or driver's license
- Pay a $75.00 application and state license fee
School Hours
- Program 1: Tuesday - Saturday, 33.5 hours per week
- Program 2: Tuesday - Saturday, 20 hours per week
